Silk is the only known fibre which is completely non-allergenic, resistant to allergens, a must have for those suffering from asthma, allergies, dermatitis, psoriasis. Once you have slept under one you will never want to use anything else again! 

Design Details:

The fibres are up to 450 metres long, using the highest quality triple A grade long strand silk available. The silk is stretched the full length and is sewn in a quilting fashion out to the edge of the doona. This means the silk inside stays in place, it does not move or mat.
Nature’s strongest fibre, silk by diameter is stronger than steel, and provides a long lasting consistent material, soft and cuddly. Extreme heat and or harsh chemicals such as bleach would change this structure.
The outer shell is 100% cotton, 233 thread count mercerized cotton percale.
The silk is a full size bat sandwiched between the cotton covers and sewn through side-to-side, end-to-end.

Bit of Science:

The doonas are breathable.
The steady temperature reflects heat, and this balances body temperature. This does not trap air between the body and the fabric so that there is not a heat trap. (No more sweating or throwing the doona onto your partner or restless sleep).

But wait, there is more.
The silk doona can be up to half the weight of most duvets for the same amount of warmth.
Just like silk under garments used by skiers and mountain climbers, allows them to be warm without perspiring excessively.

The silk does not break down and create dust.

Quality and Durability
There is no bunching, shifting or moving.
Very easy to wash.
Use a front loader washing machine to prevent wear and tear.
Wash in cold water using a mild detergent and hang to dry indoors. If hanging out doors, hang in the shade away from direct sunlight, the ultraviolet light rays and heat from the sun can damage the silk.
If using the dryer, it must be dried either on an air fluff or cold air cycle only.
Just remember no heat, no bleach.
