Electromagnetic fields, or EMFs, are invisible energy sources and forms of radiation which are emitted from various electric sources. Many of these are impossible to avoid such as TV”S, mobile phones, Laptops, fridges, iPad, Baby monitors, lighting, washers, Bluetooth devices etc) and can cause mild to severe health issues.

Some people are more sensitive to EMFs than others and will experience more serious effects. However, in general, EMFs are believed to cause headaches, disturbed sleep, skin rashes, Heart palpitations, fatigue, depression, and anxiety.

While exposure to one or two sources at a time may not harm your exposure to many could cause serious negative health effects as the load increases.

Ways to Reduce EMFs in Your Home

One way to limit exposure is distance. The further away you are from a device or router the less harmful it is.

Turning off devices when not in use is also helpful.

When using laptops, or video game consoles, keep them as far from the body as possible . When on phone or video calls, keep the device away from your ear or face and use a speaker or EMF protection earphones. Keep mobile phones off or far away from you when you sleep. Don’t use it as an alarm clock!

Use the Airplane Function on your devices when possible and especially when being used by children. This cuts off the signal between the device and the WiFi router or mobile phone tower, dramatically reducing the EMF radiation levels.

If it is possible, turn off the Wi-Fi router when not in use, especially at night.
